3 EASY Christmas Cookie Recipes

Looking for an easy Christmas cookie recipe to impress relatives or in laws ? Well I have three fool proof cookie recipes that are easy and quick to do. If I can bake these cookies… You can too!

My favourite cookie because it brings back childhood memories of decorating these cookies with mini paintbrushes, icing and sprinkles….

Mom’s Sugar Cookies

Use a beater to beat the sugar and butter. Gradually add flour. Let dough sit in the refrigerator for 2 hours. That’s all you really need to know.

When decorating make sure you start decorating as soon as the icing goes on. It hardens very quickly and then the sprinkles will fall off.

The next recipe comes from my MOH and best friend, Sarah.

Gran’s Thumbprint Recipe

Again, remember to beat sugar and butter first. This ones says to separate the egg yolk and just to put in the yolk but I put the whole egg in by mistake the other day and I think I actually liked it better this way. So it’s up to you. Let dough sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

My last recipe is just a random one I found off Pinterest that I unfortunately lost the link too.

Shortbread Cookies

This one you don’t need to beat or refrigerate which is nice. Put your sprinkles on before you put it in the oven unless you are putting icing on them. Otherwise they will fall off.

Happy Baking and Merry Christmas!
